The fine print...

It's not a long list, but there are a few things we ask...

Footwear:
Our home is a "shoe-free zone", at least as far as outdoor footwear is concerned. If you like to wear something on your feet other than socks, please consider bringing along your slippers.

Arrival:
If you are going to be significantly later than your planned check-in time, please give us a call while you are in transit. We can always accommodate late arrivals, but please let us know in advance if your travel plans change.

Minimum Stay Requirements:
We require a minimum 2-night booking during weekends in July and August, as well as all long weekends throughout the year.

Discounts
Extended stay discounts apply to double occupancy rates, as single occupancy rates are already discounted. Discounts cannot be combined.

Pets and Children:
Many of our guests stay with us to have an adult getaway, and often make special arrangements for child-sitting while they are here. For this reason, our home environment is adult oriented and not suited to young children.

Pets are not permitted, and there are no pets in residence.

Fragrances:
We request that guests refrain from using personal fragrances and perfumes during their stay at The 3 Bears.

Cancellation Policies:
At the time of booking, 50% of the cost of your stay will be charged to your credit card. Balance of payment is due on the day of check-in. Charges for bookings made within 48 hours of arrival or less will be processed in full. If you prefer to pay by cash upon departure, please let us know when you book.

Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, your deposit will be fully refunded (less 15% processing fee) provided that you notify us 7 days prior to check-in. Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in will be charged for the full amount of the reservation.

A full refund, less 15% processing fee, will be made if your room is re-booked for the cancelled dates.

Our thoughts on Cancellations:
Many of our guests book months in advance, and we often are forced to turn people away during popular periods. If you have to cancel at the last minute, it probably means we have turned someone else down, or at a minimum have made special preparations in expectation of your arrival.

We try to be considerate of special circumstances because we know that sometimes plans are forced to change through no particular act of our own, and we always try to come to some mutual accommodation in extraordinary circumstances. However, we must reserve the right to charge your credit card if you cancel your reservation outside the terms of the above policy.

For the Record:
We enjoy an adult beverage just as much as the next person. However, we have a zero-tolerance policy toward recreational drug use, and excessive use of alcohol. Excessive is defined as the point at which behaviour clearly interferes with the enjoyment of other guests or the hosts, and is determined at our sole discretion. Guests unable to comply with this policy will be asked to vacate immediately, and all fees for the entire reservation period will be immediately payable in full, as will the cost of any damages, if incurred. We really hate to get technical, but your agreement to book with us indicates acceptance of these terms.

Smoking, of course, is not permitted indoors. Ashtrays are provided for outdoor use. Please respect the rights of others.
